Matt began his New York Life career in 2004 as part of the Service Leader Trainee Program in the Greater South Carolina G.O. in Charleston, SC. In early 2007, he was promoted to Director of Operations at the Greater South Carolina G.O., where he remained until 2018. In 2018, Matt was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Service and Operations in the Greater Washington G.O., where he continues to serve.
Matt graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. During his college years, he was a member of the Gamecock Football team and held various officer positions in the Sigma Nu fraternity. Throughout his career at New York Life, Matt has earned several professional designations, including FLMI, ACS, AIRC, and Series 6 and 99.
In his free time, Matt enjoys golf, bowling, and playing fetch with his golden retriever, Bauer. He is an avid supporter of South Carolina Gamecocks and the Green Bay Packers. Matt and his wife, Courtney, welcomed their son, Aiden James, in October 2025.
